Spring 2018 Meeting in State College A Great Success

The semi-annual meeting of the Center for Dielectrics and Piezoelectrics (CDP) was held at the Nittany Lion Inn, State College, Pennsylvania, on
April 17-18, 2018. The meeting discussed recent developments in the field of electroceramics, including new methods for ceramics processing, capacitors and
supercapacitors, energy storage, reliability, advanced characterization techniques, piezoelectrics, thin films, MEMS, etc. Ongoing progress was presented on all the funded projects and other issues of importance in the field was discussed.

An tutorial was offered prior to the meeting, entitled “Understanding Defects and Degradation in Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors” in Room N-201 of the Millennium Science Complex building on the Penn State campus on the afternoon of Monday April 16, 2018, at no additional cost.
