Jan Peters of Applied Piezo in the Netherlands (http://www.applied-piezo.com/) gave an overview talk on the history of the European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives and implications for piezoelectrics. Then an open panel, including Professor Susan Trolier McKinstry (Penn State) and Eberhard Hennig of PI Ceramic, further discussed the upcoming renewal of the RoHS exemptions.
