Research: 
Jackson’s research focuses on ferroelectric materials exploration in complex oxides. Jackson applies an entropy-inspired materials design approach to explore candidate ferroelectric materials in both the bulk and thin film regimes. Jackson works on both synthesis and characterization of these materials, with particular attention to the impact of disorder on structure-property relationships. Jackson also has an interest in the thermodynamic and kinetic stability of high-entropy materials.
